The hydrant must have a minimum flow of 900 GPM. (Page Fire Department has this information)
If at any time the hydrant no longer meets the minimum flow requirements, the Fire Department reserves the right to cancel this permit and re-paint the hydrant yellow.
Existing blue hydrants cannot be repainted.
The hydrant color and design must be acceptable to the Fire Department. (no obscenities, no pornography, no solid black or solid blue hydrants.
The participant must maintain the hydrant's paint job in good condition and a 3-foot clearing around the hydrant must be on-going. (If a hydrant is not maintained, the Fire Department reserves the right to cancel this permit and re-paint the hydrant yellow.)
Please send a photo of your completed hydrant to the Fire Department to be used on the map.
Hydrants will be checked once a year; if your hydrant has not been painted or has not maintained we may contact you and ask if you would still like to participate in the program.
When the applicant no longer wishes to participate in the program they must notify the Fire Department.
